KGK International is a subsidiary of Kanematsu KGK Corporation, one of the world’s largest international trading companies with a network of offices worldwide, serving a wide variety of businesses and industries in areas including information technology, food and packaging equipment, iron and steel, textiles, machinery, life science and energy among others.
KGK International was established in 1981 to import and distribute high quality Japanese machine tools to manufacturers throughout North America. Incorporating such advanced features as dual spindle configurations, extended live tooling, and automated part handling, the technologies offered by KGK immediately attracted a large customer base, revolutionized production in facilities ranging from job shops to major factories, and established KGK as a primary resource for the metalworking community.
More recently, due to the increased demand from the marketplace for more cost effective manufacturing solutions, the decision was made to widen the number and types of products and services offered by KGK. Today, these include advanced technologies for the metalforming and fabricating industry, solutions and services for the emerging solar and energy sector, and advanced systems and concepts for the food and packaging industries.
Throughout its history, KGK, backed by the extensive resources of Kanematsu KGK Corporation, has upheld a proud tradition of providing service and support before, during and after the sale.
